On Saturday night we had our first gig as a trio at the Spice of Life in Soho… Not only was the place packed out, but I’m down to my last copy of ‘Seven Songs’! It’s been a while, but I have to admit I’ve never stuck it in people’s faces, and it’s been nice to have people come up and actively ask for a copy! I’ll be re-printing some more to sell still, however they won’t be in the original digipack packaging.
As usual, our 12 song set ended up being about 10 songs as we jammed out extended versions, Aaron and Chris took some great solos, and I tried to get my guitar to stay in tune! Thanks as always to our friends Towma for having us along, and everybody who came, and bought CDs and DVDs!
I just got back from a great gig tonight at The Rocket in Acton, helping a friend out with a music night down every monday…

Just toying around with my new (secondhand = actually kinda old) acquisition, a Samsung HMX T10 HD cam.
This simple, small, sexy little unit should mean that I can shoot much more video of the performances coming up, and therefor share it out more often to the online community.
I’ve been having a great time playing with old comrade/new London recruit Aaron Spiers, on tha bass, and though we played an odd, knock-out-style gig at the Regal Room last night, we are very much looking forward to rocking The Assembly House in Kentish Town tonight.
There are always great acts there, and I think music starts around 8!

Quick update to say that the wheels are finally starting to turn on the new trio band format!! Through some amazing circumstances I am re-united with two of my great mates, and musicians Aaron Spiers and Chris Grant. These guys were part of the original band I put together to first play my music, and they were also two of the guys that played on the EP ‘Seven Songs’.
We’ve been rehearsing a little bit, and it’s great to find out that everyone remembers how things go!
Got some gigs coming up! This Thursday at The North Pole in Ladbroke Grove, and a cool little acoustic thing on Easter Monday, at the amazing Proud Camden, somewhere I’ve always wanted to play!

Just a quick one today folks! For any guitar players out there, I just want to re-affirm my love for Elixir strings on acoustic guitar!
This set has probably been on my guitar for 6 weeks of gigs and I am only pulling them off in anticipation of possible breakage because they are *starting* to loose a bit of ‘zing’!
I use Polyweb 12′s and as long as your guitar is set up properly, these strings are invincible!
No I’m not endorsed! (but I would be very open to it) ;)

I think this just might be the smallest amount of pedals I’ve used in a long time! I just bought (from a SHOP) the Morley Mini Wah/Volume yesterday after many pages of reading and a few tests! It seems pretty cool, totally optical and quite adjustable!
Gonna use it tonight at a private gig with my Gretsch :)

Very happy to be doing another cool acoustic session tonight with good friends!
The venue is really nice and it’s across the road from Kentish Town tube!
Mean while lying in bed trying to shake off some kind of sickness, watching Classic Albums: Phil Collins – Face Value! Should (hopefully) be right for tonight!
